Breakthrough T1D Walk

EVENT DAY SCHEDULE

• 7:30 AM - Walk Site Opens. There is plenty to do at the Breakthrough T1D Walk! We suggest you arrive early enough to meet up with your team, visit the diabetes vendors, meet other families with T1D, visit the Breakthrough T1D tent, enjoy food, drink, music, and the Activity Area.
• 8:45 AM - Opening Ceremonies Begin. Ron Hoon and Syleste Rodriguez from FOX10 Phoenix are the emcees for the morning. Make sure to get there in enough time to join the fun!
• 9:00 AM - Walk Starts. Breakthrough T1D walks rain or shine. Be sure to prepare for the weather - wear sunscreen and stay hydrated!

WALK ROUTE

The walk is approximately 2 miles and is stroller and wheelchair accessible. The walk route takes our teams through Riverview Park and the Sloan Park stadium. 

Activities in Sloan Park:

• View our Faces of Hope display on the Jumbotron, including the faces of T1D champions from our teams raising at least $1500.
  
• Be sure to check out the baseball signs in the outfield from our teams raising at least $3500.
• Take your team photo at the Wrigley Field replica marquee. Kids are invited onto the field to run the bases like their favorite Cubs player. 
• Adult Meet Up: If you’re an adult living with T1D, join us in the suite inside Sloan Park to connect with other adults living with T1D. Light refreshments and snacks will be provided. Once you’re done walking the route, join us in the suites 5 & 6 until noon.
